By the mid-thirties, movie-making had advanced rapidly and Bride of Frankenstein did not disappoint. Variety magazine acknowledged the important roles of cameraman, art director and score composer. The film is now seen as the best of the genre, artfully combining all of the skills required to create a true screen classic.
You’ll experience the thrills for yourself, on Halloween weekend, when the DPO presents the entire original film while providing the full, live orchestral music to this timeless horror classic. All in the sparkling acoustics of the Mead Theatre at the Schuster Center. What a unique Halloween treat!
FREE POSTER for “Bride of Frankenstein” ticketholders, one per household, as long as supply lasts.
Meet Neal Gittleman after the performance in the Orchestra Lobby where he’ll be signing this fine art Dayton Philharmonic poster. It's suitable for framing and commemorates the 2011-2012 “Originals” Season.
