DAYTON, OH (September 9, 2015) – On Sunday, December 6, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Hobart Arena in Troy, Ohio, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra (DPO), under the direction of Artistic Director and Conductor Neal Gittleman, will present A Celtic Tenors Christmas.

The program lineup for A Celtic Tenor Christmas at Hobart Arena will be similar to the Kettering Health Network SuperPops concerts performed at the Schuster Center on the preceding two days, December 4 and 5.  As the DPO continues to expand its regional influence, the orchestra takes this holiday celebration to the historic community of Troy for a special one-day, afternoon engagement. The family-friendly time, date and pricing will make for an attractive outing for families in Troy and the surrounding area.

Three Tenors. One Voice. From the other side of the pond come The Celtic Tenors. With a polished international reputation and just over a million album sales under their belts, The Celtic Tenors offer something truly unique—the skill, range and ability of world-class tenors combined with the personality and fun of genuine artists. They have performed together for over 14 years, and offer more than beautiful voices and musical knowledge; namely, the sound that evokes the very soul of the Emerald Isle.

Matthew Gilsenan, James Nelson and Daryl Simpson are comfortable in all genres from classical and folk to Irish and pop, taking their audiences on a far-ranging musical voyage.

The Celtic Tenors have produced three platinum-selling albums as well as hits in the Top Ten in the U.S. In 2014, the Celtic Tenors were very happy to announce that they have once again been signed by a major label, signing a worldwide deal with Decca Records Australia through Universal Music.

These three operatic magicians join the DPO at Hobart Arena on December 6 to enchant audiences with their gorgeous renditions of Irish folk classics and favorite Christmas tunes, including “Silent Night," “Ave Maria," “O Come All Ye Faithful,” and “Joy to the World." It's an afternoon of music sure to light up hearts with the real spirit of the season.

Single tickets for A Celtic Tenors Christmas concert at Hobart Arena can be ordered by calling the Hobart Arena Ticket Office at (937) 339-2911 or online at http://www.hobartarena.com.

About the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance
The Dayton Performing Arts Alliance was formed in July 2012 as the result of a groundbreaking and innovative merger between the Dayton Ballet, the Dayton Opera, and the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. Together, they are the largest performing arts organization in the community, offering a tremendous variety of performance and education programs and setting a new standard for artistic excellence.  Dayton Performing Arts Alliance performances are made possible in part by Montgomery County and Culture Works, the single largest source of community funds for the arts and culture in the Miami Valley. The Dayton Performing Arts Alliance also receives partial funding from the Ohio Arts Council, a state agency created to foster and encourage the development of the arts and to preserve Ohio's cultural heritage. Funding from the Ohio Arts Council is an investment of state tax dollars that promotes economic growth, educational excellence, and cultural enrichment for all Ohio residents.  The Dayton Performing Arts Alliance is proud to be one of five performing arts organizations in the country selected to receive a three-year "Music Alive" grant from New Music USA and the League of American Orchestras.
