One of the DPO’s longest-standing traditions!  These concerts give students the opportunity to hear the exciting sounds of a full orchestra in the acoustically perfect Schuster Center.  Students also learn how music connects to many areas of their classroom curriculum.  Teachers receive a study guide and a YouTube playlist of concert excerpts.  At no charge, docents (if available) come to your school to prepare students for the concert.

Musical Mysteries
This concert will explore the musical evidence that composers, musicians, and conductors leave to send us a message. The audience will discover, observe, and investigate the evidence as they become "Concert Scene Investigators." This concert features the winner of the 2018 Young Musicians Concerto Competition.
Conductor: Patrick Reynolds
Curriculum Connections: Fine Arts, Language Arts, Science

This concert features Cincinnati-based drumming group Drums of Peace and Dayton Ballet II.
