The thrill of attending phenomenal performances can be yours all season long in the 2022–2023 Season at the Dayton Opera.
This season, you’ll get to experience all that opera has to offer. From Wagner’s epic Das Rheingold and a jazz-infused Charlie Parker’s Yardbird to the classic holiday story of Amahl and the Night Visitors and a tribute to opera’s world-famous diva Maria Callas, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

While the body of tormented bebop saxophonist Charlie “Yardbird” Parker lies unidentified in a New York City morgue, his ghost travels back to the famed NYC jazz club Birdland, where he struggles to complete his final masterpiece.

Amahl and the Night Visitors brings to life the story of three mysterious kings who are following a star to bring gifts to a wondrous child.

Based on Nordic and Germanic myths, Das Rheingold (The Gold from the Rhine) is the “preliminary evening” to Wagner’s epic masterwork, The Ring Cycle.

Masterworks 8 Series Subscribers can have either the Friday or Sunday performance included in their subscription package. Please note that there is not a Saturday performance of Das Rheingold.
Opera subscribers can choose any performance from the current season at the time of purchase or at any time during the season.
