Military Family Scholarship Fund

The Military Family Scholarship Fund is designed to help cover the fees and costs for children of military families who wish to take part in Dayton Performing Arts Alliance after-school performing arts programs. These programs include the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Dayton Philharmonic Youth Strings, Dayton Philharmonic Junior Strings and the Dayton Ballet School programs.

When military families move, the disruption and costs can be extensive. By providing scholarships, we are hoping to help families both afford programs when money is tight and create resiliency for the children of military personnel when moving to their new location in the Gem City. We are pleased to provide military families with the opportunity to begin or to continue programs that can help them integrate more easily into their new community here in Dayton.

 Scholarship Sponsor:

Dayton Aerospace, Inc. is pleased to be the first to sponsor the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance’s Military Family Scholarship Fund. Our company consists almost entirely of retired senior military leaders and Department of Defense (DoD) civilian employees and as such, we know first-hand the sacrifices and challenges faced by those who serve our country. Frequent military moves can be a significant burden on family members, especially children. Our support of this program, which helps cover the fees for military children taking part in DPAA’s after-school arts programs, reflects our gratitude and commitment to the men and women who keep our country safe.” – Jim Ratti, President Emeritus, Dayton Aerospace, Inc.
