An Evening with Art Garfunkel features the famous vocalist performing songs that span two generations
On Friday and Saturday evenings, November 16 and 17 at 8 pm in the Schuster Center, the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and Assistant Conductor Patrick Reynolds will present An Evening with Art Garfunkel, featuring the angelic tenor voice of Art Garfunkel.
On the crest of his new CD release Some Enchanted Evening, Art Garfunkel comes to Dayton for his Schuster Center debut. A multi-faceted song stylist, his soaring voice moved an entire generation and has built bridges to music fans all over the world. Clifford Carter (Piano and Keyboards), Clint de Ganon (Drums), Larry Saltzman (Guitar), and David Anderson (Bass) are on the tour and will join Art, Patrick, and the Orchestra.
Under the baton of DPO Assistant Conductor Patrick Reynolds, Art Garfunkel will perform some of the songs from his association with Paul Simon, like Scarborough Fair, Mrs. Robinson, and Bridge Over Troubled Waters; tunes from his solo career, like Bright Eyes; and music from his recently released CD Some Enchanted Evening.
