Holiday Pops

The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra celebration of the holiday season! Taking center stage with the DPO is Shayna Steele, who visits Dayton from the Big Apple to jazz up the holidays in the Gem City with favorite carols and dazzling holiday classics.

The Nutcracker

Join Clara as she drifts into restless slumber amidst tiny tin soldiers and menacing rodents, floats dreamily among the snowflakes, and is escorted to the Land of Sweets. This is a performance great for kids of all ages!

Handel’s Messiah

Relocated to the Schuster Center, enjoy an annual holiday tradition under the twinkling lights of the Mead Theatre. This angelic piece is performed by the Dayton Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, Dayton Philharmonic Chamber Choir.

New Year’s Eve

Ring in the New Year with the most anticipated musical event in Dayton that has made the Schuster Center the place to be on New Year’s Eve. Featuring the Ballet, Philharmonic, and Opera, enjoy a celebratory night out on the town celebrating the arrival of 2022.

East Meets West

In a convergence of musical cultures, East Meets West features works by Mozart, Strauss, and Rameau alongside Hindustani works. Strauss’ Rosenkavalier Suite captures the imagination and transports you to opulent Vienna.

The Ladies of Swing

Carmen Bradford presents a concert featuring the greatest hits from Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and more! Carmen uses this collection of timeless standards to honor these vocal songstresses.

Finding Wright

In this world-premiere, Finding Wright is the story of human connection and emotion, centering on the life of Katharine Wright, sister of two of the most famous Wrights of Dayton: brothers of flight Orville and Wilbur Wright. 

Rolling Stones

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Rolling Stones’ most iconic albums, Beggar’s Banquet and Let It Bleed, with the DPO, Brent Havens, vocalist Mick Adams, and a full rock band on the Schuster Center stage. 

Beethoven 7 & Strauss

From lilting Irish-inspired music to Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, this concert features works with a whirling rhythmic drive and vibrant energy that will make you want to dance in your seat all night long.


The Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra & Dayton Ballet II present BUGS!! This concert features music & dance for creepy crawly and adorable insects of all kinds, showcasing the student musicians and dancers of DPAA.

April Fools!

Strauss’ Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks sets the stage for a playful April Fools weekend full of hijinks. Pianist Aleksandra Kasman skillfully conquers Rachmaninoff’s titanic Piano Concerto No. 3

Opera Star Recital

John Holiday is a genre-defying countertenor fresh from his Metropolitan Opera debut. Featuring a mix of traditional and contemporary songs, this is a concert you don’t want to miss!


The Great Gatsby, tells the story of the fabulously wealthy Jay Gatsby and his love for the beautiful Daisy Buchanan. This ballet is a roaring good time!

The Beatles

The Beatles come to life in Revolution, a symphonic tribute to the Fab Four, featuring top vocalists and musicians performing 25 chart-topping hits, including Ticket to RideHere Comes the Sun, and more!

Beethoven’s Ninth

Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 9 weaves the themes of the Enlightenment throughout the entire work and celebrates a world united in brotherhood and friendship. Clara Schumann’s brilliant Piano Concerto makes its DPO debut.

Epic Opera

Experience the grandeur and sparkle of opera in a concert showcasing the most thrilling moments from the opera repertoire. Works by Verdi, Wagner, Bizet, and more are sure to delight audiences of all ages.


Classical meets gospel with the Dayton Philharmonic in a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the birth of Paul Laurence Dunbar, acclaimed African-American poet born in Dayton, OH.
