DPO Chorus Director Hank Dahlman to be a Guest Conductor on Sunday, June 29 concert in New York City
Distinguished Concerts International New York has announced that the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra Chorus will perform in DCINY’s final concert of its 2008 season at Stern Auditorium/Perlman Stage at Carnegie Hall on Sunday, June 29, at 8:30 pm.
The concert features a potpourri of traditional and contemporary choral works for treble choirs and Mozart’s venerable Vesperae solemnes de confessore, K.339. Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra Chorus Director Hank Dahlman will conduct the Distinguished Concerts Orchestra International and the Distinguished Concerts Singers International in the Mozart. Soloists are KRISTEN PLUMLEY, Soprano; JODI KAREM, Mezzo-soprano; TODD MILLER, Tenor; and MICHAEL VENTURA, Bass.
In addition to the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra Chorus, Distinguished Concerts Singers International performing treble works include the Los Robles Amadeus Choir (CA), First Coast Christian School Choir (FL), Jacksonville Children’s Chorus (FL), and Jacksonville Country Day School Chorus (FL). Singers performing Mozart include Los Robles Camerata Choir (CA), and Wright State University Collegiate Chorale (OH).
