Dayton, Ohio (October 20, 2008) – Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra members and Music Director Neal Gittleman travel to Canaan Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday, November 15 at 5 pm for a free DPO concert with the Canaan Missionary Baptist Church Choir.
Neal Gittleman will conduct the program, which includes three movements from Mozart’s Symphony No. 40, the Violin Concerto, Op. 5, No. 2 by Chevalier de St. Georges, featuring DPO Concertmaster Jessica Hung, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Novelette, Op. 52, Richard Smallwood’s Total Praise (arranged by Neal Gittleman, performed together with the Canaan Missionary Baptist Church Choir).
A reception will follow.

The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra (DPO) 2008-2009 Stained Glass Series is a series of free community concerts, with the support of Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, Tabernacle Baptist Church, and Omega Baptist Church. All Stained Glass Concerts are FREE. No tickets required. Generous seating is available.
Stained Glass Series attendees can purchase tickets at each of the concerts to hear a specific Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra concert at the Schuster Center for only $6.00 each. Each ticket is also an RTA bus ticket for that evening. Tickets are on sale at each Stained Glass Concert, or in the individual church offices.
