Sunday, April 27, 2008 5 PM concert is final concert in Stained Glass Series of free community performances
Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra members and Music Director Neal Gittleman travel to Omega Baptist Church on Sunday, April 27 at 5 pm for Symphony on a Sunday Afternoon, a free DPO concert with the Omega Baptist Church Choir.
Neal Gittleman will conduct the program, which includes Mozart’s Symphony No. 13, Beethoven’s String Quartet, St. Georges’ Symphony No. 1, Scott Joplin’s The Chrysanthemum, Puccini‘s Crisanthemi, and several works performed together with the Omega Baptist Church Choir.
A reception will follow.

The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra (DPO) 2007-2008 Stained Glass Series is a new series of free community concerts, with the support of Central Chapel AME Church, Canaan Missionary Baptist Church, Tabernacle Baptist Church, and Omega Baptist Church. All Stained Glass Concerts are FREE. No tickets required. Generous seating is available.
Stained Glass Series attendees can purchase tickets at each of the Stained Glass concerts to hear a Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra Concert at the Schuster Center for only $5.00 each. The DPO has reserved a block of seats in the Orchestra section of the Mead Theatre (concert hall) for four Classical Series Concerts in its regular season. Each ticket is also an RTA bus ticket for that night! Tickets are on sale at each Stained Glass Concert, or in the individual church offices.
