Vocalist Steve Lippia headlines 8 pm Schuster Center salute to “Old Blue Eyes”
On Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15 at 8 pm in the Schuster Center, vocalist Steve Lippia joins DPO Assistant Conductor Patrick Reynolds and the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra in a program entitled Simply Sinatra.
One of today’s most prominent, in-demand vocalists, Steve Lippia has quickly established his place among the finest interpreters of standards and traditional pop music in the nation. With his own, unique style, Steve relives the heyday of Frank Sinatra. His youthful, energetic talent and powerful show creates a perfect blend of “classic” with “today,” introducing a new generation to this timeless music and transporting long-time listeners back to the era of “Old Blue Eyes.”
“I’m excited about being back in Ohio and the Dayton area again,” Lippia states. “I’m fond of Ohio and the enthusiastic responses the audiences always greet me with. I know that performing with the Dayton Philharmonic will be a great time for me, and I promise to provide a great time for everyone who attends.”
“I’m thrilled to conduct these DPO Simply Sinatra Pops concerts with Steve Lippia,” DPO Assistant Conductor Patrick Reynolds remarks. “Steve’s a remarkable entertainer who’s bringing to town a full program of Sinatra favorites. The orchestra and I are going to have a great time working with Steve, and we know the audience will have a blast, too.”
On November 15 from 7 pm to 7:45 pm in the Wintergarden as part of the Stars of Tomorrow program, the West Carrollton High School Varsity Choir – Brian Coleman, Director – will perform.
Tickets $27.00 – $75.00.
