DAYTON, OH (January 11, 2011) – The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra continues its new “Rockin’ Orchestra” series with One of These Nights: Music of the Eagles, featuring Jeans ‘n Classics, on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 8 p.m. in the Schuster Center. Patrick Reynolds, Assistant Conductor of the DPO, will conduct.
This concert takes us back to the fast-lane life of 70s and 80s L.A. for the legendary music of The Eagles. The Eagles’s Greatest Hits is the second biggest-selling US album of all time (29 times platinum!) and that playlist is the inspiration for this show. Canadian rockers and song interpreters Jeans ’n Classics are back with great orchestral arrangements and a whole clutch of Eagles favorites including “Take It Easy,” “Hotel California,” “The Long Run,” “Desperado,” “Take It to the Limit,” and more. The 2nd half of the show will be the complete Hotel California album in its entirety.
This performance marks the DPO’s fourth collaboration with Jeans ‘n Classics in recent years, following successful performances including 50 Years of Rock ‘n Roll and A Night at Woodstock.
Tickets for One of These Nights: Music of The Eagles range from $22 – $76 and are available by calling (888) 228-3630 or by ordering on the web at www.daytonphilharmonic.com.
The 2010-2011 Rockin’ Orchestra series sponsor is Forge. The final concert in the 2010-2011 “Rockin’ Orchestra” series will be The Symphony Rocks: Music of Led Zeppelin on April 2, 2011.
