Dayton, Ohio (April 6, 2009) – The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and Associate Conductor Patrick Reynolds hit area highways the end of April, to bring the joy, excitement, and fun of music to area school-age kids.
With a program known as Going Places, the DPO will be at various locations around the city and will perform orchestral music in a casual and fun manner. Students will learn about the instruments of the orchestra and will take an imaginary journey to different times and places. These concerts sell out quickly so make your reservations early!
The Magic Carpet ride begins at Wright State University on April 20, then continues on at Christian Life Center April 21, Temple Israel April 22, Southminster Presbyterian April 23, Salem Church of God April 24, and Ginghamsburg Church April 28, respectively. Concert times are 9:45 am for Preschool kids and 11:00 am for kids in the primary grades. Cost for each concert is $3.75 per person. Of course, parents and the young-at-heart are also invited.
