Annual Magic Carpet Concerts scheduled from March 3 and March 6 through 9 at 9:45 am for preschoolers and 11:00 am for kids in primary grades
The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and Associate Conductor Patrick Reynolds hit area highways the first part of March, to bring the joy, excitement, and fun of music to area school-age kids.
Known as Magic Carpet Concerts, the DPO might also call these five scheduled musical events Getting Down with the Phil, for getting down and performing orchestral music in a casual and fun manner is the essence of each program. The DPO promises to have your kids singing and clapping with the orchestra. In fact, orchestra members might catch you tapping a toe, too.
The Magic Carpet ride begins on March 3 at Wright State University. Then, the DPO will visit Southminster Presbyterian (March 6), Temple Israel (March 7), Salem Church of God (March 8), and the Christian Life Center (March 9). Concert times are 9:45 am for Preschool kids and 11:00 am for kids in the primary grades. Cost for each concert is $3.75 per person. Of course, parents and the young-at-heart are also invited.
