Dayton, Ohio (January 29, 2010) – The Dayton Philharmonic Principal String Quartet performs at Bethel Baptist Church on Sunday, February 14, at 2 pm for a free Halo Series concert. The repertoire consists of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Quartet No. 16 in F Major, op. 135, Joaquin Turina’s La Oracion del Torero, and Astor Piazzolla’s Four for Tango. A reception will follow the performance.
The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra 2009-2010 Halo Series is a pair of community concerts, with the support of Bethel Baptist and Trinity Presbyterian churches. All Halo Series concerts are free and open to the public. No tickets are required. Generous seating is available.
Attendees have the opportunity to purchase specially-priced tickets at each of the Halo Series performances to hear a Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra concert at the Schuster Center. Each ticket is also an RTA bus pass for that evening. Tickets are on sale at each Halo Series concert, or at the individual church offices.
