Dayton, Ohio (April 20, 2009) – On Sunday, May 3 at 3 pm in the Schuster Center, Patrick Reynolds, DPO Assistant Conductor and Conductor of the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra leads the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra in its Spring Concert program, the final program of its 2008-2009 Season.
The concert consists of Leonard Bernstein’s Overture to Candide, Aaron Copland’s Danzon Cubano, and Antonin Dvorák’s Symphony No. 9 in E minor, Op. 95 From the New World.
This year, the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra is in its 71st season, proud of the fact that it is one of the oldest youth orchestras in the United States.
“The Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra is proud to support the talented young musicians of the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra,” DPO Education Director Gloria Pugh states. “This dedicated group consistently presents concerts that are exciting and inspiring.
