Can you believe it? Already, it’s been a year of learning how to pivot, innovate and do things differently to continue our mission of transforming lives through the power of music and dance.
Thanks to your support, we were able to stream ballet, opera and philharmonic performances to patrons at the beginning of the pandemic. We also launched exciting new in-theatre performances to patrons as part of our Reimagined Season 2021. Best of all, we helped artists continue to perform and earn a living during uncertain times.
Despite these achievements, due to canceled performances and reduced theatre capacities, our ticket sales were reduced by 96%. Historically, ticket sales make up 40% of our total revenue. So, this drop in revenue from the pandemic creates significant financial strain on our organization.
For this reason, as you review your annual Statement of Account for your Dayton Performing Arts Alliance subscriptions, please consider making a donation of your tickets during this difficult time.
Please take steps now to manage your funds on account. You have two options:
- Donate the value of your tickets on account to the DPAA
- Ask for a refund
If you choose to donate the value of your tickets, we sincerely appreciate your generosity. By donating the value of your tickets, you help us spring forward into the future with an inspiring season of new in-theatre performances and continue our music and dance education programs for over 60,000 youth in the Miami Valley.
We are grateful to you, and look forward to a bright future.
