The Dayton Performing Arts Alliance’s field trip programs offer the perfect blend of engaging performances and curriculum-connected themes. These concert opportunities introduce students to the wondrous sounds of a live orchestra, professional singers, and the athletic art of ballet, while also relating music to students’ personal experiences and classroom curricula.
Magic Carpet Concerts at the historic Dayton Masonic Center offer our youngest audience members a chance to move and sing along as they’re introduced to the orchestra, opera, and ballet.
Young People’s Concerts are perfect for middle- and upper-elementary students as they dive deeper into a specific theme in the acoustically perfect Schuster Center for the Performing Arts. With provided lesson plans, you can challenge your students to make cross-curricular connections as they listen to and watch the performance.
Middle and High School Concerts are specifically designed for teenage audiences. Students at that age crave powerful, gripping experiences. No experience is more powerful than hearing a great orchestra perform great music live. Our concerts will deepen your students’ thinking and enhance your classroom discussions. Bonus lesson plans provided.
