Kara Camfield

Kara Camfield is Assistant Principal Second Violin for the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra and has performed with the Orchestra since 2006. Kara is also Conductor of the Dayton Philharmonic Junior Strings, Dayton’s youngest aspiring string players orchestra.

Kara earned a Master of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Minot State University in North Dakota.

Kara also plays first violin as part of an educational string quartet for the Dayton Philharmonic.

In addition to performing, Kara is an adjunct professor of violin at the University of Dayton, plays in the Aviatori Piano Trio at UD, and teaches violin at the Piano Preparatory School in Beavercreek.
