Tim Anderson is Principal Trombone in his 22nd season with the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra.
When he was a fifth grader, he heard the Billy Vaughn Orchestra performing “Watermelon Man,” and he credits that experience with inspiring him to take trombone lessons.
Tim earned a Bachelor of Music from the University of South Carolina and a Master’s Degree from the New England Conservatory. He also studied at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) and now teaches there.
He has been a member of the Carillon Brass since its inception.
