Pianist Janina Fialkowska, Dayton Philharmonic Concertmaster Principals to perform works by Mozart at free recital
On Tuesday April 25, at 8pm, Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra (DPO) Concertmaster Lucas Alemán, Principal Violist Sheridan Currrie, and Principal Cellist Andra Lunde Padrichelli will join Guest Artist-In-Residence Pianist Janina Fialkowska to perform in a free recital at Christ Episcopal Church, 20 West First Street, Dayton.
The first of two free concerts included in what is known collectively as Amadeus Downtown, this recital is part of the NCR Miracle of Mozart Festival, the DPO’s celebration of the 250th birthday of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The four artists will perform Mozart’s String Quartet in C major, K. 465 and Mozart’s Piano Quartet No.1 in G minor, K. 478. Mark Brill, Professor of Musicology at the University of Dayton, will host. The festival includes free community events such as this one, as well as a Mozart Piano Concerto Series and regular classical season concerts.
Following the recital, Christ Episcopal Church will serve light refreshments.
