Net Proceeds to Benefit the Future of Dayton Ballet, Dayton Opera, and Dayton Philharmonic
DAYTON, OH (May 20, 2019) – On Sunday, June 23, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at El Meson, 903 East Dixie Drive, Dayton, OH, the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance (DPAA) will present Party Arty: Sizzlin’ Summer Salsa, the “can’t-miss” celebration to kick off summer in Dayton. Party Arty is an annual celebration and fundraising event of the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance to support the future of Dayton Ballet, Dayton Opera and Dayton Philharmonic through movement, music and dance.
The DPAA is excited to celebrate Party Arty once again in the unique location of El Meson, the quintessential Latin American restaurant of the greater Dayton area. El Meson represents the best of the American dream: a labor of love that success has not spoiled. The Castro family, owners of this savory Dayton establishment, have a motto—”Si, se puede,” meaning “Yes, we can”—which is the perfect echo of the DPAA’s approach to inspiring the Dayton community in the world of the arts.
On June 23, embrace summer with the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance at the Party Arty Sizzlin’ Summer Salsa! Join us for a sizzlin’ hot time at El Meson, featuring bold cuisines, award-winning cocktails, and enticing Latino rhythms filling the air. Support Dayton Ballet, Dayton Opera and Dayton Philharmonic while experiencing a premiere Salsa performance by members of the Dayton Ballet. Loosen up and get a little crazy while moving to a wild Latin rhythm at our Sizzlin’ Summer Salsa.
In addition to great food and exciting entertainment, guests will be invited to participate in incredible raffle baskets, created to intrigue art-loving Daytonians! Baskets include a weekend getaway in Yellow Springs, a specialized dinner with Neal Gittleman, a personalized pub crawl, a behind-the-scenes tour at Carillon Park and more. About the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance
The Dayton Performing Arts Alliance was formed in July 2012 as the result of a groundbreaking and innovative merger between the Dayton Ballet, the Dayton Opera, and the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. Together, they are the largest performing arts organization in the community, offering a tremendous variety of performance and education programs and setting a new standard for artistic excellence. Dayton Performing Arts Alliance performances are made possible in part by Montgomery County and Culture Works, the single largest source of community funds for the arts and culture in the Miami Valley.
