About The Program
Be a part of THE FIRST audience to see an abridged version of the world premiere of Dayton’s most beloved holiday tradition, The Nutcracker, specifically curated for our learning audience. From the creative minds of Artistic Director and choreographer Brandon Ragland, costume designer Lyn Baudendistel, and scenic designer Ray Zupp, the timeless story of Clara’s magical Christmastime journey returns to the stage. The Nutcracker is set to Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky’s gorgeous score, performed live by the Dayton Philharmonic and it features professional dancers from Dayton Ballet, as well as students from the Dayton Ballet School and area dance schools.
