DAYTON OH – Soft-rock legends America will open the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra’s 09-10 National City SuperPops Series on Friday and Saturday, September 25 & 26, 2009 at 8 p.m. both nights at the Schuster Center.
Consummately crafted songs, trademark lush harmonies, and evocative lyrical landscapes have assured rock group America true legendary status. With chart-busting hits like “Horse with No Name,” “Sister Golden Hair,” and “Ventura Highway,” America has long been a staple of pop radio airplay. Now group founders Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell, along with Neal Gittleman and the DPO, will kick off the National City SuperPops season in style.
The Schuster Center’s Mead Theatre provides a fabulous acoustic setting for this unique rock/symphonic collaboration, featuring orchestral arrangements by the Beatles’ legendary producer George Martin.
Tickets for the concerts range from $27 – $75 and are available by calling (888) 228-3630 or by ordering on the web at www.daytonphilharmonic.com.
