PBS broadcast, Renée Fleming – Sacred Songs & Carols, provides glimpse of DPO Special Events February guest artist
Local-area PBS affiliate ThinkTV14 will air a holiday broadcast of the program, Great Performances, on Thursday, December 15 at 8pm. The program, entitled Renée Fleming – Sacred Songs & Carols, features world-renowned soprano Renée Fleming.
Fleming is, indeed, the reigning royalty of the vocal world. Her sensuous voice, interpretive skills, and stylistic versatility have made her the “gold standard of the soprano sound.” The two-time Grammy Award winner performs throughout the world in the most distinguished venues and with the foremost orchestras and conductors of our time.
On Tuesday, February 21, 2006 at 8pm at the Schuster Center, Miss Fleming will appear with Neal Gittleman and the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra in An Evening with Renée Fleming, performing works by Strauss, Puccini, Bellini, and Verdi.
