Although Dayton Ballet’s live performance of The Nutcracker cannot go on as scheduled this year, we’ll still celebrate this Dayton holiday tradition with you in 2020! What better way than to take a look back over 25 years of Dayton Ballet performances of The Nutcracker!

So many professional Dayton Ballet dancers, as well as dancers from Dayton Ballet II and the Dayton Ballet School, have graced the stage each December over the last few decades. And with each production, over 100 children from the Dayton region have joined every year—that’s more than 2,000 dancers over the last two decades! We’ve used quarantine time to look back through the photo albums so we can share with you the memories this special holiday celebration holds in our hearts.

With Tchaikovsky’s delightful score, recorded live in performance, this stream will feature hundreds of archival photos that will bring Little Clara, the Nutcracker Prince (or Princess), the Mouse King, Mother Ginger, the beloved holiday party, the beautiful snow forest, and the Land of Sweets to life this holiday season!
