William Slusser has been a member of the Second Violin Section of the DPO since 1998 and was the Orchestra’s Librarian from 1998 through the 2015–2016 season. He is a graduate of Baldwin-Wallace (1970) and Catholic University (1980). Bill retired from the Air Force as Director of the Air Force Strolling Strings and performed for White House state dinners through the administrations of Presidents Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush, and Clinton. He was also a member of the Air Force Symphony and String Orchestra and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant. Bill and his wife, Joyce, have two sons and five grandchildren.
