Teaching Artist, Cello and After-School Faculty - Q the Music
Q the Music program is an after-school music education program in Dayton, Ohio that provides string instruction to third through sixth grade students at Ruskin Elementary School. Operating in partnership with the East End Community Services and the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra, students receive a nutritious snack and group music instruction delivered by outstanding local musicians. Assistant Conductor
The DPAA announces an opening for the position of Assistant Conductor starting in the 2026-2027 season. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Assistant Conductor joins an artistic leadership team that includes Dayton Philharmonic Music & Artistic Director Keitaro Harada, Dayton Opera Artistic Director Kathleen Clawson, and Dayton Ballet Artistic Director Brandon Ragland. The Assistant Conductor will assist the Music Director by undertaking three core duties: acting as Cover Conductor for all orchestra services; lead learning and community engagement concerts; and guest conducting the Youth Orchestra Family Concert. This role requires daily collaboration with the Vice President for Learning & Community Engagement to further the DPAA's mission.
