Dayton Dines by Design will showcase elaborate and elegant tablescapes from more than two dozen local, regional, and national artists and interior designers. A cocktail party on Wednesday evening will give guests the opportunity to examine these tablescaping creations and chat with their designers while enjoying complimentary food and drinks at Eichelberger Pavillion. On Thursday, the tablescapes will be available to see from 10:30 to 11:30am. Beginning at noon, guests will be able to enjoy a plated lunch at those very same tables while listening to our keynote speaker, Corey Damen Jenkins.

Why Tablescaping?
The pandemic lockdowns in 2020 created a surge of interest in interior design as younger generations worked to make their living arrangements more comfortable and more photogenic. Fancy table displays were no longer reserved just for the holidays; a gathering of friends is just as important and worthy of attention. The idea of creating an elevated dining experience for friends and family also crosses generations, providing common ground for people of all ages to gather.
