Alan Siebert has been a full-time member of the trumpet section since 1992, after subbing the previous two seasons.
He began trumpet in the 4th grade, with formal private lessons beginning in the 7th grade.
Alan earned a Bachelor of Music degree at the State University of New York at Fredonia and a Master of Music degree from the University of Michigan, and he was enrolled in a doctoral studies program at Arizona State University.
He is a former member of the San Diego Symphony Orchestra and former Principal Trumpet of the San Diego Opera and Chamber Orchestras. Alan has been a member of the faculty at CCM since 1990.
Prior to that, his teaching positions included the University of Wisconsin–Superior, Arizona State, San Diego State and Michigan State Universities.
