Alyssa Eyster was born in San Jose, CA and began her dance training in Cincinnati, OH at Cincinnati Ballet’s Otto M. Budig Academy. She continued her training at Inland Pacific Ballet in southern California where she performed as a trainee with the company. Alyssa completed her senior year of high school at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) under the direction of Susan Jaffe and stayed on to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet in 2019. Upon graduation, Alyssa joined the second company at Nashville Ballet where she performed in numerous full-length ballet’s such as The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, and Peter Pan as well as new choreographic works by Paul Vasterling including Firebird and Billy the Kid. Alyssa then danced with Minnesota Ballet for the 2022-2023 season where she had the opportunity to perform soloist roles such as Spanish Soloist in Karl von Rabenau’s The Nutcracker and The Fairy of Musicality in Sleeping Beauty. Alyssa is also an alumni of the School at Jacob’s Pillow where she performed in the 2023 Contemporary Ballet Ensemble and performed works by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and Andrew McNicol. Alyssa is excited to be joining Dayton Ballet for her second season.
