Christian Chester grew up in Sunbury, Ohio. In 2011, he was chosen to train with BalletMet’s Academy as a “discover dance” student and continued studying at BalletMet until joining their trainee program from 2017-2020. Christian then moved to Kentucky to join Louisville Ballet’s Studio Company in the fall of 2020. He trained in the Studio Company for three seasons before joining Louisville Ballet as a Company Artist in 2023.
Since then, Christian has enjoyed the opportunity to perform as Paris in Alun Jones’ Romeo and Juliet, in the Peasant Pas de Deux in Louisville Ballet’s Giselle, and as the Husband in Andrea Schermoly’s Appalachian Spring.
This is Christian’s first season with Dayton Ballet, and he is truly grateful to be joining the company.
