Daisy Talbott Greene Chair
Leslie Stratton has been Principal Harpist of the DPO since 1995.
She grew up in the Worthington, Ohio area and earned a degree in Harp Performance from Baldwin-Wallace University in Cleveland. Leslie splits her time between Dayton and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
She has performed with many orchestras, including the Ohio Chamber Orchestra, Cleveland Ballet, Cleveland Opera, Los Angeles philharmonic and Spokane Symphony. Recently she has been a soloist with the DPO, Spokane Symphony and Coeur d’Alene Symphony.
In addition to her orchestra work, Leslie performs solo concerts across the country for arts organizations, churches and schools and has been involved in numerous recordings, movie soundtracks and CD projects.
She has produced four solo recordings: Heavenly Classics (featuring classical favorites), O Holy Night (a collection of Christmas music), Bouquet of Love Songs (featuring timeless romantic songs) and Windows of Worship (a collection of worship music).
And you may have heard her while you were shopping because of her involvement in recordings for Muzak. Locally, Leslie directs Harps of Grace (who performed in this season’s Christmas Pops Program) and Ladies of the Lake out west, and she also organizes the Inland Northwest Harp Festival.
