Todd joined the Dayton Philharmonic in 1984. He was born in Brooklyn, NYC just like Neal Gittleman. He holds degrees from the Manhattan School of Music and the Cincinnati College – Conservatory of Music. Todd is also principal horn with the Butler Philharmonic, the Blue Ash Montgomery Symphony Orchestra, and The Dayton Philharmonic Concert Band. Since 1982 he has been a member of School House Symphony, a wonderful group that presents concerts at schools in the greater Cincinnati area. Todd has also performed with the Ohio Valley Symphony, the Clermont Philharmonic (principal horn), the Cincinnati Ballet Orchestra, the Middletown Symphony, the Carillon Brass Quintet, the Dayton Woodwind Quintet, and the Kentucky Symphony. Additionally, Todd has been the featured soloist performing multiple concertos with the Butler Philharmonic and the Blue Ash Montgomery Symphony Orchestra. He has played with Aretha Franklin, Yanni, Yo Yo Ma, Rod Stewart, Emanuel Ax, Itzhak Pearlman, Natalie Cole, and Renee Fleming to name just a few. Todd and his wife Sharon (a cellist) are proud parents to three wonderful adult children: Naomi, Ari, and Ethan. They are now proud grandparents to Naomi’s kids Levi and Aviva, although Todd is known as “The Dark Lord” (too young for the grandfather title).
