Youjin Na has been a member of the First Violin Section of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra since 2016.
She began her violin studies at the age of four and graduated from the Sunhwa Arts School in South Korea. Youjin earned a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music (CCM) in 2010 while on full scholarship. She successfully auditioned for a graduate assistantship to study with Mikhail Kopelman at the Eastman School of Music and earned a Master of Music as well as an Orchestral Studies Diploma in 2012. Youjin currently is pursuing a Doctorate at CCM and was Dr. Won-Bin Yim’s teaching assistant from 2014-17.
In addition to her DPO assignment, she is a member of the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra and a substitute violinist with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra. Youjin is a multiple prizewinner of CCM concerto and chamber music competitions and has been a soloist with the CCM Starling Chamber Orchestra and the Kentucky Symphony Orchestra.
