DAYTON, OH (November 7, 2025) —The Dayton Performing Arts Alliance (DPAA) is pleased to announce the election of Sharon Schroder, Managing Director, Regulatory & RTO Affairs at AES Ohio, to its Board of Trustees. Schroder was elected during the organization’s September 2025 Board meeting.
With over thirty years of experience in retail and wholesale electricity management, Sharon Schroder specializes in regulatory matters, pricing, and customer service. In her current role, Schroder leads the Regulatory & RTO Affairs for AES Ohio (formerly The Dayton Power and Light Company), overseeing federal and state regulatory strategy, retail and wholesale rates, and tariff and compliance filings.
“Sharon brings years of community involvement at many levels in addition to her AES leadership roles,” said DPAA Board Chair Joe Zehenny and Vice Chair Pat McDonald. “The DPAA is fortunate to have someone of Sharon’s caliber join as a Trustee.”
Schroder’s election deepens the long-standing partnership between DPAA and AES Ohio. Since 2012, when the Dayton Ballet, Opera, and Philharmonic Orchestra merged into a singular organization, the AES Ohio Foundation has been a consistent, dedicated supporter of DPAA and is currently a Season Sponsor for 2025‒2026. Their historic funding for DPAA’s Artistic Operations provides the stability needed to ensure that Dayton remains a city where people want to sing, dance, and play.

A resident of Bellbrook, Schroder is an active community member, serving on the City of Bellbrook Board of Zoning Appeals and Property Review Commission, and is a Board Member with the American Red Cross, and the AES Ohio Foundation. Outside of her professional life, she is a certified Group Fitness Instructor, marathon runner, and trombone player.
