DAYTON, OH (April 24, 2017) – On Friday, May 12, 2017 from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm at El Meson Restaurante, 903 East Dixie Drive, Dayton, OH, the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance (DPAA) will present Party Arty, the “can’t-miss” celebration this spring. Party Arty is an annual celebration and fundraising event of the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance to support DPAA Education programs for students in grades K–12, which reach over 75,000 students in the Dayton region annually, and to generate enthusiasm amongst lovers of the arts from all over the Miami Valley.
The DPAA is excited to celebrate Party Arty this year in the unique location of El Meson Restaurant, the quintessential Latin American restaurant of the Greater Dayton Metropolitan area. El Meson represents the best of the American dream: a labor of love that success has not spoiled. The Castro family, owners of this savory Dayton establishment, have a motto–”Si, se puede” meaning “Yes, we can”– which is the perfect echo of the DPAA’s approach to inspiring the youth of our community in the world of the arts.
On May 12, El Meson and the DPAA together will delight your senses as you enjoy tapas perfectly paired with original cocktails, bold flavors, inviting spirits, sublime ambience, fantastic music and camaraderie as we celebrate the end of another successful performing arts season and the approach of summer! Enjoy mouth-watering Paella Valencia, Spanish wine, and Flamenco guitar. Refresh your palate with a Century Bar Shanty and delectable Coco Fish Bites; Empanadas Chilenas paired with a tantalizing Pinot Grigio; and El Meson’s winning pairing of Chorizo and Grits alongside their signature cocktail Tamiami Mami.
Beginning at 9:00 p.m., dazzling desserts will be served, and guests will be invited to participate in a stellar Silent Auction of items donated by local artists, restaurants, businesses, and friends of the DPAA.
