About the Program

In this family-friendly concert, we pay homage to teachers—and the students they nurture—by highlighting some famous student-teacher composer duos. Haydn was Beethoven’s teacher; Dvořák and Burleigh taught each other; and Nadia Boulanger, who conducted the premiere of Stravinsky’s “Dumbarton Oaks” Concerto, was Maestro Neal’s teacher!
